Denise received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Biology from Agnes Scott College and a Master of Science in Neuroscience Education from Nova Southeastern.
It has been Denise’s pleasure to work with young people her entire life. Denise and her husband were intensive treatment foster parents for many years and she also spent several years in high school teaching science, with her favorite subjects including chemistry, physics, human anatomy and physiology, and science and food. She recently left the traditional public education classroom and joined the Innercept team as a licensed educator. Denise finds her work here more personal and fulfilling, and it has renewed her passion for education.
When not teaching, Denise loves to travel and explore the outdoors including hiking parts of the Appalachian trail, boating in the Gulf of Alaska and camping on glaciers. She is looking forward to exploring more of Idaho and biking with her grandchild. Gardening and sewing fill her time in between adventures.
