Assessment Groups

Collaboration and Communication

Using the four quadrants of integral recovery in tandem with our collaborative therapeutic-assessment approach, we are able to break down the barriers that keep individuals from thriving. This combination also encourages positive growth through the various therapeutic sessions they experience during the evaluation, while laying the crucial base needed to succeed in treatment and self-actualize throughout their lives.

From the quality and comfort of Innercept’s residential home to the framework of principles, strategies and techniques we use in our therapeutic assessment, every aspect of the resident’s experience here acts as a constant cocoon of physical, emotional and mental support. When individuals feel unhindered within the safety net we offer, they can engage more freely with our team to discover their strengths and weaknesses. This further helps them connect how their bodies, minds and spirits function together, so the necessary steps to grow and evolve can be defined.

We begin the therapeutic assessment by working closely with every individual through a variety of group-therapy settings. Rather than missing critical factors by rushing diagnoses, our groups are evidence-based and specifically designed to provide overarching perspective while reinforcing proper treatment recommendations. These groups include:

Touch – includes sensory integration and exploration of the ability to self-modulate, so one can better handle sensory input and react to it appropriately.

Cephalo – executive functioning group that focuses on neurologically-based skills involving mental control and self-regulation to support the achievement of goals and living productively.

SPARK – early morning exercise has been proven to increase focus, improve mood regulation, lower anxiety and enhance overall well-being.

Vestibular – incorporates yoga and movement therapy to address the perception of the body in relation to gravity, position and balance of everyday life.

Gastrointestinal – alternating with food-as-medicine, this culinary group explores the impact diet and nutrition have in supporting and strengthening all systems of the body.

Cardio – combines the heart math group and dialectal-behavioral therapy for developing new skills to manage painful emotions and decrease conflict in relationships.

Ego – integrative art therapy our residents absolutely love. This group explores this part of our being by combining theatrics, music, improvisation and humor.

Recreation – spending time in nature helps residents learn valuable life lessons, such as their place in the world and the circle of life.

Community – serving others creates an atmosphere of self-respect, self-worth and self-confidence.

Connection – helps individuals evolve the necessary skills for developing and maintaining meaningful relationships.

Sleep Hygiene – techniques that incorporate the five senses and work to support proper patterns of rest.
