Mike joined the Innercept team after a career in wildland firefighting – a path he embarked on to help pay his way through college where he studied psychology and economics. He found that he really enjoyed the leadership role of guiding young men and women through the stressful situations that occur when managing and fighting fires. When Mike was not fighting fires, he prided himself in working closely with a staffing-service agency to help to match job seekers to possible employers.
With a deep passion to help and motivate others, especially young adults, Mike joined the Innercept team with the intention of helping others transform their lives. Innercept’s integral model of treatment resonates with him, as treatment and life have many challenges that require hard work, determination and a strong support system.
Mike enjoys spending as much time as he can in nature. He and his wife enjoy skiing, hiking, running, fly fishing, mountain bike riding and ice hockey. Their two dogs also keep them on their toes and push them to stay active.
